GROUNDS & BUILDINGS MAINTENANCE EMPLOYEE

The Lincoln County Administrator is accepting applications for a seasonal Grounds & Buildings Maintenance employee. Wages will range from $14.50 to $15.50 per hour depending on experience and knowledge and will work 32 hours per week. This position will start June 10, 2024 if possible, and end no later than September 27, 2024. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license. This employee will report to the Grounds and Buildings director and be responsible for assisting with grounds and maintenance projects as directed. POSITION OPENING

The Town of Limon is seeking a Library Director for its public library that has served the town of Limon and the surrounding area for over 75 years and is currently opened 48 hours per week. The ideal candidate should possess a love of reading, that inspires them to create a fun and educational environment for library patrons. The director is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the library, create educational programs and events for different age groups, updating and maintaining the library data base and work with the team of two part-time clerks and the staff of the Lincoln County Bookmobile and Hugo Public Library. Candidates should possess organizational skills, good time-management skills, provide great customer service, have detail to attention, have the ability to manage projects and give presentations, be knowledgeable in computer research. Work independently without supervision. The director is responsible for organizing and managing all resources in the library and reports to the Library Board of Directors and the Town of Limon.

A full municipal benefit package, including insurance coverage, vacation, sick leave and retirement program is included. Starting Salary will be based on level of experience, but expect a range between $37,000 - $44,000. Position will remain open until filled.

Position 1. Administrative Support. The position requires proficiency in reading and writing skills and Microsoft Office Suite. The position is 29 hours per week, Monday through Thursday with paid vacation and sick leave. Starting hourly wage is $15.00.

Position 2. Store Clerk. The clerk’s position will be in the thrift store, NU-2-U. Position will require basic computer skills. Position will be 24-29 hours per week with a starting wage of $14.42.

Both positions require communication (written and verbal) skills, organizational skills, and customer service skills. Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with respect for customers and co-workers is essential.

High school diploma or equivalent is required for both positions. Minimum two years of experience is preferred.

The Lincoln County Commissioners are accepting bids for the painting of the Lincoln County Roundhouse front bay-doors and window frames. The successful bidder will provide all tools, equipment, and other supplies, with the county purchasing the paint. Proof of workers’ compensation, if statutorily required, and liability insurance must be provided.
