Caren Christenson, of Christopher Creek, Arizona passed away on June 21, 2025 at the age of 83.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jess & Helen Christenson and sister, Linda McCarthy.
The Christenson family were long time Limonites and strong supporters of the school. The old school gym was named in honor Jess and his service to the local and state school board.
Caren accompanied the show choir all four years and showed great musical skill from a young age. She graduated as valedictorian in her class.
Caren traveled to University of New Mexico on a piano scholarship, married after college and moved to Arizona. She had two children, son Charlie (Suzanne) & daughter Lin (Kelly).
Caren worked for many years as a comptroller for Trane Air Conditioning and she continued to play piano for choirs and different social organizations, mostly for enjoyment.
She later married Sam Seay and moved to the mountains of Arizona where they enjoyed a wonderful retired life in their lovely home.
Special times were spent with their four grandkids Alissa (27), Ryan (26), Lauren (23) and Erik (21). Caren loved Christmas and continued her mother’s tradition of beautiful decorating and the family enjoyed many memorable holidays up in the mountains.
Caren will be missed terribly by her family and friends. A private family service is planned in both Arizona and Colorado.
