Lonny was born Aug. 30, 1951 in Brush, Colo. to Glen and Cleo (Malcom) Nickell. He passed away July 8, 2024, at Last Chance, Colo. He attended Woodlin School participating in sports and FFA. He graduated from Woodlin High School in 1969. He became a traveling paint and hardware salesman after graduation, selling to retail outlets.
Lonny married Barb Vratil Bunch and their family included stepdaughter Amber and son Robin.
Due to contracting Legionnaires Disease, Lonny changed his profession and became a barber. His witty and friendly demeanor made him a success and a friend to his customers.
Lonny was preceded in death by his parents, wife Barb and sister, Margie. He is survived by his brother, Gary Nickell and son, Robin and stepdaughter, Amber.
