This year marked the first time the Limon boys golf team qualified to compete at the State golf tournament as a full team, with three members meeting the qualification criteria necessary for team competition.
The Badgers worked very hard at the State Tournament in Pueblo on October 6-7, ultimately placing 16th as a team.
Individually, Karson Parmer on day one was in 11th place but there were several ahead of him that were tied up. Parmer finished 41st, Brody Scherrer did really well on the first day also as he was in the 42nd slot but finished out day two in 66th, and Brooks Scherrer made a great showing as he stayed very consistent in his two days of play finishing his season in 82nd.
This shows how the sport of golf is growing. Theses students progressed over the entire season as Brooks and Brody are both playing two varsity fall sports.
Congratulations on a great season! Looking forward to another great golf season next year for all the up and coming Limon Badger golfers.
