It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jack Martin Gookin age 61 of Hugo, CO. Jack was born on March 1, 1963 and passed in his home unexpectedly on November 5, 2024.
He was very much a private man, with a tough guy attitude, but was very kind and had a big heart. In many ways, he was a person you didn’t know you needed, until he was there.
Jack worked at RTD for several years and enjoyed his personal time by fishing, hunting and tinkering with small projects at home.
Jack is survived by his daughter, Cherie (Jeff) Hughes, three grandchildren, Izebelle, Lexi and Gavin Hughes, as well as David (Shirlene) Clayton, Casey (Christian) Saylor and Kirk (Chongsuk) Osborn. He is preceded in death by his father Harold Gookin, mother Everdena Gookin and Heidi Clayton.
In lieu of a service, we ask that you take a moment to remember Jack through sharing stories, pictures and memories with one another.
