James Frederic Ellis (Jim) of Greenwood, SC passed away on May 21, 2025. He was born at Mitchel Field, NY on April 23, 1940.
Jim is survived by his wife Dana Sanborn (Glen) Ellis, his daughters Alexandra S. Ellis and Elizabeth H. Ellis, his brothers Jon (Brenda) Ellis and Jeffrey (Carol) Ellis, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Oldham Ellis and Helen Elizabeth (Glauner) Ellis, and his brother, Joel Ellis, all of Colorado Springs, CO, and his grandparents, Homer and Sonora Ellis of Hugo, CO.
Jim went to schools in Colorado Springs and graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a BA in 1963. Jim served in the United States Marine Corps from 1963 to 1973, serving in Vietnam from 1965 to 1966. Jim earned his MBA at Bryant University and worked in RI, PA, NY, and SC, where he retired.
