Margaret Frances Horan

Margaret Frances Horan passed away peacefully in her home in Limon, Colorado in July, 2025. Born in Casper, Wyoming to Nora and Edward Horan, 'Peggy' grew up in Colorado and attended undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Colorado, Boulder, and the University of Denver, respectively. With degrees in Speech Pathology and Audiology, she spent most of her career with the Colorado Department of Public Education where she evaluated and recommended treatment for individuals with speech and hearing needs. A lifelong amateur gemologist as well, Peggy loved the plains of Colorado and the community of Limon, of which she called home for the last twenty years. She is survived by four siblings, Michael, Susan, Kate, and Steve, three nieces and a nephew. The family sends their heartfelt thanks to the people of LImon and surrounding areas for their care and kindness. A private memorial will be held for the family in August.
