NATHAN ELI JOSEPHUS

Nathan Eli Josephus 36 of Whitney. Texas, passed away suddenly July 6, 2024.

Nathan was born to Rick and JoAnn in Hugo, Colorado. He grew up in Limon, Colorado. where he graduated and worked alongside his dad and brother doing auto body repair and paint.

He was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 2001, and for many years he worked in the full-time ministry alongside his mom.

In 2004, Nathan met Beka Tomlin, and they enjoyed a close friendship for several years before getting married on January 23, 2010. In 2017, they moved to Beka's hometown of Whitney, Texas.

Nathan loved to ski, golf, camp, fish, go to the lake, smoke ribs and brisket, make jerky, ride his motorcycle, eat hot wings, and watch movies.

Nathan was an animal lover. His pets were his children. He also truly loved being an uncle. As a good friend to many, his laugh and sense of humor will be deeply missed.

He is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Vera and Pearl; grandfathers, Jim and Dick; his dog, Sam; and his cats, Amos, Edmund, and Cleo.

Nathan is survived by his wife, Beka; parents, Rick and JoAnn of Morgan, Tex.; brother, Erick and wife Savannah of Morgan, Tex.; in-laws, Charlie and Suzann Tomlin of Whitney, Tex.; brother-in-law, Nathan Tomlin and wife Moriah of Walkill, NY.; sister-in-law, Rachel Laffoon and husband Eric of Meridian, Tex.; nieces, Layla and Emmy, and nephew, Willie Laffoon of Meridian, Tex.; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He also leaves behind his beloved pets: Lena, Augden, Ren, Rousy, Django, Ramsey, Minnie, Milo, Murphy and Talouse.

The memorial will be held Saturday, July 20, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Marshall & Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Whitney, Tex.
