VFW MEMORIAL DAY

SERVICES

The VFW will be doing Memorial Day Services at Karval at 9:15 a.m. at Karval Cemetery and at The Hugo cemetery at 11:00 a.m. on Memorial Day May 27.

KARVAL MEMORIAL DAY

Karval Memorial Day Services will be held May 27 at Bucklen Cemetery, 9:15 am with the Hugo VFW participating. A second service will be at Karval Cemetery around 10:00 am with the Maverick Color Guard. Rylee Corn will present the National Anthem. Coffee, donuts & cinnamon rolls served before and after services. If you wish to help with the flag procession, meet at the gate 10 minutes before each service. Restrooms available at the Nazarene Church. To donate a flag in memory of loved ones call Enola at (719) 331-2964 or email karvalmemorialday@gmail.com.

THE LIMON HERITAGE MUSEUM

The Limon Heritage Museum Complex will be open for the 2024 season starting on Memorial Day, Monday, May 27, 2024.

Our new hours are: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10 - 4, Sunday 1 - 4

Our Heritage Day Celebration is scheduled for June 15, 2024. We have new displays and a soft opening for our 1920’s restored Gates House. Our featured event will be Cowboy Poets Floyd and Valerie Beard. We will have food vendors, a petting zoo and free face painting. Plan to bring the family.

We invite you to display one or more of your old or new quilts during our 31st Annual Heritage Day on Saturday, June 15, 2024. Please bring your quilts to the Limon Town Hall on Friday, June 14, 2024 after 2:00 pm.0

FINANCIAL COURSE

Dave Ramsey will be giving a Financial Course at the Metcalf School House. Watch the paper for date and time.
