The Leader is closing its doors

September 2, 2025

Dear Valued Journalists, Subscribers, Photographers, Advertisers and Supporters,

The Leader is closing its doors by the end of the year.

Everyone’s subscriptions have been extended through December 31, 2025 or later depending on payment status.  Our last publication date has not been set but may occur sooner than the end of the year.

If you wish to continue advertising, we will require payment prior to the end of the year.

Regrettably, like so many other local newspapers, the realities of today’s environment, coupled with our key personnel seeking to retire soon, led us to conclude that it was time to close down the Leader.

It has been our pleasure to report the local news, sports, and great stories that affect our area for so many years.

We have also enjoyed working with you, promoting your business in our paper and on-line.

We sincerely appreciate all of you.  We wish you, and the whole community, the very best.

Any questions or concerns can be directed to Catherine at publisher@thelimonleader.com or the phone number below.

Sincerely yours,

SMH Publications, LLC
