The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office posted the following to their facebook page:
"On January 10th, 2025, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office arrested Travis Battleson in Limon on suspicion of the following crimes:
Criminal attempt to commit second degree kidnapping - Felony 3, Internet sexual exploitation of a child - Felony 4, Enticement of a child – Felony 4, Internet luring of a child– Felony 4, Unlawful possession of a controlled substance - Drug Felony 4, Possession of an illegal weapon - Misdemeanor 1, Driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol or both - Misdemeanor 1 and Possession of drug paraphernalia - Drug Pety Offense.
Upon investigation, Battleson is accused of traveling from Pueblo, Colorado with the alleged expectation he would be meeting with a 14 year old female, then going back to Pueblo together for sexual acts over the weekend. During this incident, felony amounts of drugs and drug paraphernalia were also seized. This should be a reminder to stay vigilant about your children(s) online activities.

This case is an ongoing investigation, and no further information will be released. All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, which we look forward to proving in a Lincoln County courtroom.
